MUDDY MONDAYS -  all children of all pre-school age   

Bring your friends and your oldest yard clothes, because things are about to get dirrrrrty!!!    Mud pies, water hole couldrens, imaginative play and friendship cakes are on the menu today!   All are welcome for this term only activity.

Skills:  Social, sensory regulation, gross motor, fine motor, communication to name a few

Duration: 2 hours - 10am - 12noon

Cost: Cost:   $5 child or $10 family

BABY TOT DISCO TUESDAYS -  all children of all pre-school age  

Tell your baby group besties there is a dance party at Summer House Tuuuunnesdays, and you wanna go!  All Are welcome for this term only activity.   Babies will get the chance to experience the beat and express themselves through dance and play as they learn to transition through movements as they develop at their own rate.  Those learning to transition from sitting to standing can hold onto chairs and tables in this inclusive space.  Transfer weight from one foot to the other and build core muscles through movement.  We have disco lights, but no strobes.  Music changes from week to week.  Kids fun activity songs, or beaty pop for the parents, there is something for everyone.

PLAYSKILLZ WEDNESDAYS -  all children of all pre-school age   $5 child or $10 family

Bring your friends and some yard clothes, because anything could happen today!!   Depending on the amount of kids we may pull the bikes out, we may open the mud pit or we may do water play.  All are welcome for this term only activity.

Skills:  Social, sensory regulation, gross motor, fine motor, communication to name a few 

No particular activities set for the day, come and meet up with other kids for a play.
 

LITTLE LEARNERS THURSDAYS    Ages 0-6   for NDIS particpants

A group program exclusively for children with disabilities.   Children will work on building social, communication, gross motor and fine motor skills through play. Group is run by a qualified staff with early childhood and disability experience.  In time, children will have a structured routine based program with therapist guided assistance for positioning, input and support, but for now we are working on building relationships and gaining rapport with our families and children to feel safe & supported.   Up to 10 children in this group with a ratio of 1:3.   Parents encouraged to have a coffee in the centre if they wish.

Duration: 3 hours - 9:30-12:30

Cost: $75/session 

Funding:  Self or Plan Managed NDIS participants may choose to use CB Daily funding or Core Funds.

SUMMER HOUSE LITTLE ONES - Mums and bubs group for NDIS participants and those waiting to enter the scheme.

Come and meet some other parents who are new to the journey.  We understand unexpected changes can be overwelming at times, and meeting other mums with similar situations can be a relief for those looking for new people to vibe with.  We offer a friendly and relaxed place to meet with others.

Duration: 3 hours - 9:00-12:00

Cost: FREE

MESSY PLAY FRIDAYS -  children of all pre-school age   

Have we got a multi-sensory totally inclusive experience for you!   With a mix of natural resources and for those children who have an aversion to food, it gives them a chance to feel, smell and explore food without the added expectation of eating it.  This activitiy is colourful, messy and kids are welcome to explore the rest of the centre if they wish.  A great social experience

Duration: 2 hours - 10am - 12noon

+++++ Therabuddy Service (support worker) available at a cost to assist children to access the program if the parent requires support.  NDIS participants Self or Plan Managed.  Parent does not need to be on site.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY SKILL BUILDING PROGRAM

Full or Half Day sessions available…

Morning session : 8am -12:30pm

Afternoon session : 1pm - 5:30pm

Those children staying all day are dropped off in the morning and collected in the afternoon.

Skills:  Fine motor, gross motor, communication, sensory regulation, social skills, independence and so much more essential foundational skills essential for an everyday life.  Run at a ratio of 1:3 participants *if a child's needs are higher intensity, we can negotiate accordingly.  

Cost: Cost:   $150 per 4.5 hour session

Funding:  Self or Plan Managed NDIS participants may choose to use Core Funds or CB Daily Funds.

SENSORY HAIRCUTS

Kiera our Manager is also a qualified hairdresser, with heaps of experience doing sensory haircuts.  Whether it's in the chair, on the floor or roaming around the centre, we are about cutting hair safely and at the child's pace and as calm as possible.  This is specifically for those children who can't attend hairdressers or barbers due to sensory aversions.  

Duration: 1 hour booking available if required... by appointment during school hours and school holidays... we are working on weekend sessions, but not yet.

Cost: $10

Funding:  nil

INDOOR MOVIE NIGHTS   

The first Saturday night of the month.  A skill building activity for all NDIS participants and their siblings.  A safe place to consolidate skills in a different environment.  

Skills:  Independence, Social & Communication, Sensory regulation and so much more

Duration: 4.5 hours - 5:00 - 9:30pm

Cost: Cost:   $100 NDIS particpant & $20 per neurotypical child.   1:1 rate for those requiring more specialised support available.

Funding:  You may consider NDIS if you're Plan or Self Managed

COMING SOON:

INTERGENERATIONAL -INTERGENPLAY-  15 seniors, 15 x 5-6yo (6 with disability, 6 neuro-typical, 3 undiagnosed)

Come and have afternoon tea and structured activities with some friends… Elderly is by invite from differing local care homes on week about rotation.  Children groups will rotate each term.  A wait list will be collected, with children rotating through to keep the group fair and fresh with new friends to meet.  Aged RMTs and staff and caregivers are welcome to watch from afar and assist your people when necessary.

Duration: 2 hours - _______

Cost: FREE for seniors, $15 p/w per child

WEEKEND KIDS CLUB (Saturdays)

Taking kids to sport can be tough, hot and boring for our extra ordinary little people, so due to parent requests, we are trialling Saturday Mornings.  Supervised by our friendly staff at a ratio of 1:3 kids, with the ability to negotiate 1:1 support if required.  All activities have multiple skill building components.

Duration: 9am-1pm (4 hours)

Cost: $100 a session

Funding:  Self or Plan Managed NDIS participants may choose to use Core Funds or CB Daily funds

WEEKEND KIDS CLUB 

Bring your friend and come and play outside in our fully fenced yard, under the trees and out in the fresh air.  Kids are encouraged to play old school games like Red Red Rover.  Parents must remain onsite, but are encouraged to join in, or bring a picnic blanket and watch.  Supervision onus is on parents, our volunteers will help set up and pack away.

LITTLE LEARNERS –open group    Ages 0-6

A social group play program with a mix of neuro-diverse and neuro-typical children.  This is a regular program so children can form meaningful relationships, learn problem solving, working with others, sharing, waiting, turn taking and so much more.  This group will assist children to learn to co-regulate and self-regulate via peer led learning.  Up to 20 children in this group with a ratio of 1 child with disability to 1 neuro-typical child.  Group is run by a Qualified Teacher, assistants and volunteers. 

Duration: 3 hours - 9:30-12:30

Cost: $__each session – paid in a 10 week block….   Neuro-typical kids by invite FREE

Funding:  Self or Plan Managed NDIS participants may choose to use CB Daily funding or Core Funds.

 

LITTLE LEARNERS    Ages 0-6

READING OUR WAY and BOARD GAMES     Aged 7-11

Come and play meaningful learning games.  Focusing on waiting, turn taking, group play, communication and fine motor skills with the added benefits the games are focused on learning colours, shapes, numbers and the alphabet.

SOCIAL GROUP     3 groups:        

7-11 | 12-14 |15-17

Participants will focus on waiting, turn taking, group play, communication.   A choice of games including Connect Four, Chinese Checkers, Guess Who... or outside age appropriate school yard games including Duck Duck Goose, Hopscotch and Freeze.  Up to 10 children in this group, with the ability to expand to two or more groups later on.

Duration: 1 hour - _______

PODD SQUAD

Exclusively for children learning to use PODD.  Structured activity program using PODD to comment/request.  Caregivers must be in attendance to assist their little ones.  Group is run by a PODD trained Qualified Speech Therapist and/or Qualified Teacher with assistants.  Up to 8 children in this group.

AACE CLUB

Augmentative and Alternative Communication is used by those with a wide range of speech and language impairments, including congenital impairments such as Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Impairments or delays, Down syndrome and Autism.   Bring your AAC of choice and come meet some new friends, or those new to AAC come and try a range of low or high tech devices.  Participants will work on social and communication skills.  Caregivers must be in attendance to assist their little ones.  Group is run by an experienced Qualified Speech Therapist and/or Qualified Teacher with assistants.  Up to 14 children in this group… focusing on Proloquo2go and PECS

MUSIC THERAPY

Come and join Qualified Music Therapist Tania DeBrincat.   Structured song program focusing on building confidence, pace, turn taking, social skills and most importantly making new friends.  Up to 10 children in this group.

SIGNING HANDS – open group    Aged 0-6

Sing songs with Australian Sign Language.  For consistency children will learn the same songs each week with an additional song each term.  All participants will receive the sign song sheets to practice at home and share with friends.   Up to 20 children in this group with a ratio of 2 children with disability to 1 neuro-typical child.  Group is run by a registered ASL teacher and assistants.

ADULT SIGN CLUB – open group - FREE

Pre-requisite to have attended a basic ASL sign writing workshop previously.

Those who can already sign fluently are strongly encouraged to attend and enhance the experience for our youth.  Unlimited numbers.
